The future us now! After some experimenting, I have decided that all my future Space Shuttle Cockpit sets will come with 3D printed seats and detail parts. While I was happy with the quality of the castings, the molds were delicate and the parts required extra time and effort to produce cleanly. The 3D printed parts produce equal or better quality than the cast parts and are easier for me to produce in volume. If you haven't worked with 3D printed parts before, just treat them like cast resin parts, the materials are very similar.
The major parts in the cockpit set, such as the floor and sidewalls, will remain as cast parts for now.
